Maximum demand and diversity factor

MAXIMUM DEMAND

Largest current consume equipment in that network is called maximum demand.Example-loads are 10kw,45kw,70kw,14kw,7kw and 6kw in this network 70kw is maximum demand

AVERAGE LOAD

The ratio between Sum of connected load to the network and number of loads connected to the system..Example-loads are 10kw,45kw,70kw,14kw,7kw and 6kw in this network (10+45+70+14+7+6) /6=25.33kw

DEMAND FACTOR

The ratio between maximum demand of the system and total load connected on the system.Example-M.D=70KW,TOTAL LOAD=153KW so 70/153=0.457.demand factor is mostly less the one (D.F<1)

DIVERSITY FACTOR

The ratio between sum of individual maximum demand and maximum demand on power system. It will be maintained more then one (>1).Example-M.D=70 kw,individual maximum demands =152 .so 152 / 70=2.17.

LOAD FACTOR

The ratio between average load and maximum demand during a given period, its used to determine the overall cost per unit generation.Example-we take one motor have name plate 20 hp but not consumed all ways 20hp we take 17hp so now 17/20=85%.
